Pallet Racking Installation in the U.S.

A pallet rack system is only as safe as its installation. Alliance Warehouse Solutions installs every type of pallet rack — selective, drive-in, drive-thru, push-back, pallet flow, and cantilever — with crews that anchor to the engineer's spec, set beam levels to your pallet profile, and tie the system into your floor, sprinklers, and forklift lanes. We field-measure before we order, install around your live operation when needed, and post load-rating tags so your team and any inspector can see exactly what each level carries. From a single starter bay to a 200,000-square-foot distribution center, we install it right the first time across the country.

Rack Installation — Common Questions

How long does pallet rack installation take?

It depends on scope. A small 20–30 bay selective system is usually installed in 1–3 days, while a 200+ bay distribution-center system typically runs 1–2 weeks with a full crew. We factor in concrete anchor cure time, any slab remediation, and coordination with your sprinkler and forklift trades. Most installs in the U.S., Alliance can schedule the same week you call if the rack is in stock — call (240) 269-2216.

Do you install pallet rack in a warehouse that is still operating?

Yes. Phased installation is a large part of what we do. We schedule noisy or dust-producing work outside your pick hours, barricade the active zone, and stage materials so forklift lanes stay clear. Most clients rotate picking to a different area for the days we work a given aisle, then shift back when that aisle is released. Alliance runs phased rack installs in occupied warehouses nationwide.

Do you anchor pallet rack to the concrete floor?

Always. Every upright is anchored to the slab with wedge or screw anchors sized to the engineer's spec — it is required by code and by the rack manufacturer. We verify slab thickness and condition first, and where a slab is thin, cracked, or has post-tension cables, we coordinate the right anchor type or slab remediation before install. Alliance anchors every rack system to the engineer's spec nationwide.

Will you install rack I bought somewhere else, or used rack?

Yes. We install new rack we supply, rack you purchased elsewhere, and reconditioned/used rack — as long as the components are compatible and structurally sound. For used rack we inspect frames and beams first and flag anything that should be replaced before it carries load. Alliance installs all three — new, customer-supplied, and reconditioned rack — nationwide.

What pallet rack brands and types do you install?

All the major manufacturers — Steel King, Interlake Mecalux, UNARCO, Ridg-U-Rak, Frazier, Hannibal, Husky, and others — in selective, drive-in/drive-thru, push-back, pallet flow, carton flow, and cantilever configurations. We are not tied to a single vendor, so we install whatever fits your load case and budget. Alliance is brand-independent, installing rack from every major manufacturer nationwide.

Do you provide installation drawings and load tags?

Yes. We provide an anchor-layout and installation drawing for the crew, and we post load-capacity tags on each bay showing the rated capacity per level and per bay. Stamped engineering and permit drawings are available as part of our engineering and permitting service when your jurisdiction requires them. Alliance provides the installation drawings and load tags on every job nationwide.

How much does pallet rack installation cost?

Installed cost depends on the rack type, height, number of bays, anchor count, and whether old rack has to come out first. Alliance quotes installation as a line item or as part of a turnkey design-supply-install package so you see the full number up front. Call (240) 269-2216 or request a quote for pricing on your layout.
