A stamped (sealed) drawing is an engineering drawing reviewed and signed by a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), certifying the rack design meets the applicable building and seismic codes. Seismic design is part of the rack engineering required under the IBC and ASCE 7 even in lower-seismic regions — the calculations confirm the uprights, base plates, and anchors can resist the code-required lateral forces.
